Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Home Health Aide to provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in the comfort of their homes. In this role, you will support individuals with daily living activities, promote comfort and safety, and help maintain a positive quality of life through respectful, attentive care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe ambulation as needed
  • Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and basic home organization support
  • Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding when appropriate
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate care team member
  • Follow care plans, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and families
  • Assist with reminders for medications, appointments, and daily routines as directed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observations
  • Respect client dignity, privacy, preferences, and cultural background at all times

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent state-recognized credential
  • Experience providing personal care in a home care, long-term care, or similar setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow care instructions and work independently with professionalism
  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive approach to client care
  • Basic understanding of safety practices, infection control, and confidentiality
  • Reliable transportation may be required depending on assignment
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist clients in accordance with care needs and safety guidelines
