Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable professional to provide in-home support that helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. In this role, you will work closely with individuals and families to deliver personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities in accordance with care plans and agency guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation within the home.
  • Provide light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and other household support as assigned.
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting client independence and dignity.
  • Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times.
  • Assist with reminders for medications, appointments, and daily routines as permitted by policy.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential, as required by state regulations.
  • Prior experience in home care, personal care, or a related healthcare support setting preferred.
  • Ability to provide respectful, patient-centered care to individuals with varying needs.
  • Strong communication and observation skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift, move, and assist clients in a safe manner, as appropriate to the role.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required based on assignment.
